Pussy Pride

This was written several months ago and maybe you've seen it, but I just came across this post by a blogger who says women should be proud of their pussies and said, "I have been shocked at the number of women who look at their themselves and see fault with their pussy.'' She also writes, "Your pussy or whatever you want to call it, is beautiful. They are all unique and wonderful in their own way.''

She also links to an art work by Jamie McCartney called The Great Wall of Vagina. He took casts of 400 of them and the exhibit has 10 panels of 40 casts per panel. He said he was perturbed at the number of women who have a negative view of their genitals. And one blogger linked to a book called Vulva: 101, a coffee table book showing vulvas.

Anyway, here's the link to the Pussy Pride project:

So do you take pride in yours? I thought I'd see how many women want to comment.

  1. I love your topics!

Actually yes I do like my pussy most days. I love how pretty and pink it is even after all these years. I also love the silkiness. The tightness never ceases to amaze me as well.

I do wish my clit were a bit larger...but then that is because I want more and more pleasure. It is quite sensitive as is.

  3. Mindset: Glad you like the topics. Nice that your pussy is pretty and pink and silky and tight. And nice that your clit is so sensitive although it might be as sensitive even if it were bigger.

senualfreak: It's nice that you have such positive feelings about your pussy. Nice to hear it is very pretty. And thanks for the compliment. Hope you keep reading.

  4. I'm almost afraid to answer this question. But what the heck. I'm here. So here goes.

Visually I prefer the way mine looks compared to the pictures I've seen of other ones, so I guess I would say, for one of those, it looks good. But I find them all to be totally unappealing. Thankfully I'll never have to associate in any way with another one.

But my man likes them, and he seems to think mine is the be all end all. It's clean, and pure, it's never had a germ, it folds up nice and neat, and it's absurdly tight. Probably because I didn't have sex for over ten years before I met him, and didn't have it often even before that, so it's always a challenge getting it in. Thankfully it only takes about a minute now instead of ten.

    You asked :)

  5. t1klish,

I think part of the problem with others is that we receive a false view of them in the media with all the airbrushing. Still I feel like you...glad that I will never have to associate with one as they really don't appeal to me as a heterosexual woman.

I have had to school myself to appreciate the scent as I know how important it is to the primal response of our sexual partners and I have had to learn to like the look of mine with repeated viewing over time. But despite it's look and scent I find it's feel incredible and love how responsive it is even on the days when it is driving me mad with need.

  6. I don't really think of it in terms of love or hate. I'm not really sure how I think of it... Chess likes it so that's pretty much what matters I guess.

  7. As I've said before your blog always makes me think. I've not given much thought to the look of it. It's changed over the years from a full bush to no bush - so I see it more now. Yes, I like the way it looks, I like the way it responds and I love the response I get when it is used for his purpose.

  8. R has told me mine is beautiful. I've looked at it in a mirror and find it fine. As doll said with all the air brushing there isn't a realistic view of pussies out there.

  9. You do find some very interesting topics, I must admit I never really thought about whether I like it or not. I suppose I have just always accepted it as it is a part of me. I would say the fact that my husband likes it so much is a big influence on how I feel about it. He likes it, therefore I like it.

  10. I'm going to elaborate, and will probably regret it. lol!

Ok, the thing is, it's not like external skin, it's like internal membranous tissue, and, well, to be blunt, internal stuff isn't pretty to me. The only thing I can compare it to in that way would be an open mouth. I don't get any pleasure out of looking at open mouths either, but men definitely seem to.

My ex used to collect pics of his favorite celebrity girls, and his favorite pics were always what I considered to be the worst pictures, candid photos of them caught like in mid-word or such with their mouths open. A pretty smile is nice. But these pics weren't of pretty smiles. Their mouths were open and you could see not just tongue, but also roof of mouth, and uvula, and such, the more inner mouth stuff he could see, the better, as far as he was concerned.

I find that stuff totally unpleasant to see. But apparently men like it. One of life's great mysteries.

  12. I agree with DannahB, I'd also much rather spend my time admiring Master's cock.

And I would be so happy if someone somewhere would come up with a better name for the female genitals. The word 'pussy' turns me off so much just hearing it gets me out of the mood for sex. It's somehow ugly and cutesy at the same time, and I'm not a cat person, so there is no positive way around that word for me.

Maybe I'll just start referring to it as my woo-woo.

  13. To be honest, I've never really thought about my genitals in this way. Like the way I view many of my body parts, it just is what it is and I don't think about it. Other than when I am shaving or washing, but even then, it's all just routine.

Hubby loves it tho. Taste, smell and feel. I guess as long as he has love for 'her', that's what matters!
