For us, we feel that amount is not that expensive, and it's a tradition still worth keeping. Some things are just better when they're 'real', ya know?

Cute stuff about the grandkids. I noticed a cut back in cards this year, but I have to admit, I to cut back on sending cards, Glad you had a happy holliday, The best to you and yours in 2010\
Hugs Lil SamLil Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02886646695180802480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8200416918526393742.post-44162337188327722772009-12-27T20:31:54.710-05:002009-12-27T20:31:54.710-05:00Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas with the...Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas with the grandkids. Our daughter was just getting into Santa for the first time this year and it was really exciting and fun.

We didn't send out Christmas cards this year simply cause it can get too expensive, especially when most of the ones you send are going overseas. Between the cost of the cards and the postage we can end up spending about $75 just to send Christmas cards. So this year I did something different... made my own greeting using Smilebox and everyone loved it. I think we'll be doing the same again next year.

spiritedturiyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04611694817150215324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8200416918526393742.post-48608876035518510352009-12-27T08:14:54.365-05:002009-12-27T08:14:54.365-05:00It sounds as if you had an enjoyable holiday. But this year we finally decided to cut back on the card list..not because of economy but because we got frustrated with sending dozens and dozens of expensive cards to people we have not gotten a card from in years or people we haven't heard from in ages. Decided it was time to just let go of a few pieces of excess baggage. Now we will just send to family and close friends that actually mean a lot to us. Everyone else gets e-cards or none. We love Christmas, but it was getting too stressful to have to deal with the trouble of a hundred cards to people we do not really care for.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8200416918526393742.post-70364001121246234312009-12-27T06:25:56.235-05:002009-12-27T06:25:56.235-05:00Ronnie: So I guess this trend is happening on the ...Ronnie: So I guess this trend is happening on the other side of the pond, too. You get to have fun with them and spoil them and let the parents do the heavy lifting.

Hisflower: I agree that it doesn't seem like Christmas without a real card in a real envelope with a stamp on it.
