Too bad the widower you dated couldn't come to grips with the fact that life is for the living and his wife would want him to be happy.

Also interesting that your uncle is finding it a challenge to get married. I guess it is more of an adjustment to another's quirks and habits when you get older. I have another tennis friend in his 70s who has a girlfriend and they are content to keep their places and not get married.

And welcome to the blogging world. I see your just met your Sir. I enjoyed your description of that first meeting. And hope you blog about how you found him and whether you dated any other Doms or mainly vanilla men and when you discovered you were submisive. And good luck in your relationship.

FD
Florida Domhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08785387941624829985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8200416918526393742.post-53905517377003300722012-11-04T21:18:27.098-05:002012-11-04T21:18:27.098-05:00Hi there, Florida Dom,

I think that dating can be good if you are happy with where you are in your life, less so if you're still dealing with emotional garbage. I have seen that it is harder for widows and widowers, less so for divorced singles. I dated a widower that was still so in love with his wife that any one else was likely to fall short.

My uncle, recently widowed at 70, has been dating with a vengeance. He has no problem finding dates, he is still a handsome and vigorous man, but he's really looking to get married again and is finding that a challenge. Being willing to accommodate another person's quirks and habits is a lot easier in your 20s or 30s than it is in your 50s, 60s, and 70s.

night owl

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
