How did pussy shaving start?

Here's an interesting clip of women talking about how pussy shaving went from being a kink to being mainstream and how many women now think having a full bush is gross.

Here's the clip:

The theory is that it began with people watching porn on their VCRs at home.

And many men seem to like it shaved so they don't get hair in their mouths although I think there is an age factor here with older women tending not to shave. I was talking to one of my tennis buddies today who is in 70s and into online dating (having his third date tonight with a woman in her 60s and is curious if she is ready to go back to his place after they have dinner) and he likes it when women don't shave.

So why do you shave or not shave?

  1. Interesting. DH loves me smooth and bald, I like the feeling of the pubic hair to be very short or gone, but can't stand it when it is full length anymore. It just feels cleaner to me.

    1. Not surprising you like the feeling of your pubic hair being short or gone. Many women feel that way these days.

  2. My husband and I both prefer a landing strip. I've found everything is more sensitive once the hair is removed.

  3. Interesting topic. Today's youngsters start shaving as soon as something starts to grow. The hair is shame.
What bothers me is that no one is talking about the negative with this. Nobody talks about "youth gynecological clinics" as they are called, in my country, looks furious increased number of fungal infections and other vaginal discharge that excused of this 1-2 - mm between the spaces created between the fabric and the body is missing. That allows these parts of the body can breathe and heal naturally way.
    Pubic hair serves its funkton.

Yes, I think it is tragic that young women want to emulate porn stars and think that the body should look like theirs.
I know this is not ok to say this, but hallo, I'm Mona Lisa, right? ... lol ....

    1. Oh wow, that is so sad, they shave as soon as it starts to grow? Back when I was growing up it was a sign of becoming a woman, an adult, and it was what we children longed for, to be grown-ups. Kids were actually proud and bragged about hair starting to grow in new places. Oh well. That explains a lot about how bad things have changed in society these days and why so many adults are now behaving like high-maintenance whining needy 5-year-olds.

    2. It is OK to say anything you want. We always welcome opinions from here, especially from Mona Lisa. Have you been to the Louvre to see it? I was surprised that it is not a bigger painting.

    3. Oops I answered Mona Lisa's post after Tikish's. Interesting that when you were growing up, growing hair was a sign of becoming a woman. I don't know whether this change is good or bad but I find it interesting how society's views of such a private matter can change over the years. I remember Martina tehnis player saying she was embarrassed to go to the beach in her European country because she didn't have much hair in her armpits. And now shaving them is a universal thing for women.and having hairy pits is viewed as a kink.

  4. For me, being fully shaved, is about being able to feel my Master's hands on my skin, not in my hair. If there was no Master I wouldn't care in the least.

  5. As a male, I prefer the labia shaved for ease in cunnilingus and I could go either way on the upper part - bald or landing strip. I have very long and thick pubic hair and have therefore trimmed since I was a teenager. Porn had no influence on that in my case.

  6. Porn had no influence on me either. I had thought about it for some time before I decided to do it in my mid twenties. Having hair now feels weird! I told a Friend of mine, and she shaved, and said when she did, her pubic itchiness went away. The hair caused her to itch!

I like the barrenness because of the sensitivity and smoothness. I recall even back in my mom's day (when I would see her naked) that full bush was kinda ugly and gross.

  7. Bareness*, not barrenness. Gotta love autocorrect.

    1. Yes, autocorrect makes some interesting changes. Also interesting that you thought your mom's full bush was ugly and gross. You obviously like being shaved.

  8. I shave everything! I'm not sure why but hair down there just seems unsanitary and gross to me. Sir feels the same way so it works out well. I've been with a total of 4 bisexual women, all of whom were completely shaven. I'm not sure if that means anything but I just thought it was interesting.

  9. i shave as per my Master's orders. i keep saying that one day i will try a Brazilian wax, just have not gotten up the nerve yet. Seems like needless pain when i am already good at a very close shave.
