Content warning

Another thought on the new censorship. They seem to be targeting blogs that have a content warning page. My blog, which was set up by a friend, doesn't have that. It goes right to the content. Could those who have a content warning page remove it to get around the censorship? Just a thought.

  1. Hey FD...I turned my "Adult Content Warning" flag off a while back and didn't receive this latest notice. I do have an "Adult Content Warning" at the top of my blog. My personal opinion is that blogger does not have the resources to check each and every post of each and every blog so I think they will spot check those with the "Adult Content Warning" flag set to 'yes'. Just my opinion which with along with $1 will get ya a cheap cup of coffee. ;)

    1. Good idea to cut your flag off and just have a warning at the top of your blog. You may now be under their radar screen.

  2. Hi FD, good thought, I wonder too. I do have the adult content flag and got the email. I tend to agree with Cat.

    1. I think you should remove the flag and see if they leave you alone.

  3. Yeah I'm thinking you are probably right about that. I just deleted all of my sexually explicit pictures. That was kind of painful. I've actually been trying to tone the pictures down on my blog. I guess I somehow felt this coming. I'm just worried that this isn't the beginning of the end. I sure hope not.

    1. Sorry to see you removed the pictures. I think you might try removing the flag and keep publishing pictures that you want to. Let's hope this isn't the beginning of the end.

  5. Sounds a good idea - but I specifically made the choice to stay with blogger years ago for the very fact that they had a good 'content warning' flag. I am gradually deleting all the 'nudes' from my blog, but the text is still very 'Adult' and I am loathe to get rid of the content warning as I don't want any of my posts read by anyone who might be offended.

I have, therefore, decided to keep the content warning flag and hope for the best!
