I didn't realize they were still kicking young girls out of proms for what the dress police think is appropriate. Here's one that has high slits showing her leg but covered on top. What do you think? Was it appropriate?

Having a 13yr old daughter, no, i would not be comfortable letting her wearing that dress at age 16, slits too high, so yes imo inappropriate.
ReplyDeleteIt must be an interesting challenge to be raising a teen-age daughter in today's society.

Hey FD...that dress is inappropriate...cut way to high for a 16 year old girl. It was cut to her crotch. She was deliberately trying to push buttons, as many 16 year old girls do. Look at her comment..."I wanted a prom outfit that was "un-prom" and pushed boundaries, something that was different than all the other dresses."
ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't think the schools should have to be put in the position of 'policing' the dresses...her parents should have been more responsible.

Good point about the parents.

Hi FD, I agree with Blondie and Cat, the dress is inappropriate for a 16 year old. Hell, imo it's inappropriate for any woman with slits that high! lol

Thanks for your input. Interesting her parents let her wear it.
