Cleavage

I've written about cleavage in the past but here's a different take. Southwest was unhappy with the cleavage shown by one of their passengers.

There's a picture of her cleavage. What do you think.

Here's the link:

There also was a comment that a man was allowed to fly on another airline wearing lingerie although they didn't give any details.

Are you comfortable showing a lot of cleavage? I will be interested in your thoughts.

  1. I have seen worse on an airplane. If they are going to kick people off a flight, the policy needs to be clear. How short can shorts and a skirt be, type of shoes, the F bomb and how much cleavage.

Am I comfortable with a show of cleavage? Yes, just be prepared for men to say hello to the girls and not to your face.

    1. Dragon's Rose: Yes, the policy should be clear. And, yes, do tend to say hello to the girls.

  3. Red shoes: I was surprised the airline made an issue out of her cleavage.

  5. What is the dress code and where is it written? Seriously? Maybe they should specify all the rules and see who still wants to fly with them. Maybe they should have some sort of coverall outfit upon boarding a flight. Sarcasm here. I think most people try and use good judgement. When they do not we all usually just ignor them.

  6. I'm not comfortable showing that much cleavage for myself, but it wouldn't bother me if another woman did it:).

  9. I really don't care what other women show, but nah, I save what I've got for my man alone. What ever happened to the concept of feminine mystique? Sara

  10. Her cleavage looks a bit...lumpy? I have to admit, I was more focused on the hideous outfit she was wearing than her cleavage. That alone should have kept her off the flight! ;-)

  11. Echo Luna Moon on this one. That is the worst of it, not the twins being prominent!

I have seen much worse, and honestly....overkill to say the least.

  12. I honestly don't see the big deal! I have seen much worse! I personally don't show alot because I feel like when you do you are just asking for attention and I get enough attention from the "colonel" (the hubby) :) but if you need some extra attention then go for it!

    Belle:)

  13. I have to agree with Kitty and Luna on this. I am not comfortable showing that much cleavage. However when I went to the article her cleavage was not the first thing I noticed it was the outfit *shudder* The men in acquittance always say if you want me to make eye contact then dress like it. I do agree that the rules need to be made a lot more clear and need to be publish so that people will know what they are. Most buy their tickets from a 3rd party and even though they click the box they have read and understand the company's policy most haven't the slightest idea what they just agreed to.

    1. Actually, the airlines don't seem to have a policy. Seems to depend on the whims of the flight attendanats.

  14. I was so stunned by her attire, I didn't notice her cleavage at first. Luna Moon is right; her clothes are hideous. I don't think she showed so much she had to be denied boarding the plane.

  16. I couldn't attain that cleavage with the aid of hydraulics so I wouldn't understand the allure of displaying it, but have to agree it's the taste level of the outfit I'm noting more. She's bordering on Walmartian here.

  17. Badly dressed and a bit over the top but there are many others that look equally exposed.

I don't see the problem. I've seen many badly dressed, over exposed women in the air... especially overseas.

I could never manage that amount of cleavage; if I could, I wouldn't waste it on a plane ride~~

  18. In the workplace, completely inappropriate. For a plane ride? Get real. I would *never* wear something like that in public, but to me wearing a scarf with a low-necked dress is her way of being "decent". And it really wasn't that indecent. And this is coming from someone who is extremely conservative about dress.

    1. True, it wasn't that indecent and probably wouldn't have gotten any attention if the airline personnel didn't overreact.

  19. I bet if she had been tall, skinny and 20 no one would have said a word! If airlines want to police what people wear they had better make it clear before we buy the tickets!

  20. I would not want to nor would I be allowed to show that much cleavage in public BUT I did not think what she was showing was too much to wear on a flight. I agree with Joolz, if she was a hot 20 year old babe I do not think anything would have been said. She deserved the apology.

  21. There must be another part of this story we're not hearing, because certainly I've seen worse. Now if that had been Brooklyn Decker for example, or another model, with that exact same dress on would the results have been the same? I bet not! We were @ a restaurant Saturday afternoon eating and saw something quite similar. I thought she looked ridiculous, but I would have been more offended if she had been asked to change or leave, I think. It was just cleavage for God-sakes! (However, if I were to personally leave the house with "the twins" living so freely, it would earn me a sure punishment from the husband. I've already been warned!) ;)

  22. There is nothing wrong with her cleavage. The flight attendents were most likely upset they didn't have it to show like that. Shoot we see more flesh now adays when a bikini is worn most are nothing more than strips of thread. LOL. I see nothing wrong with showing it.
