America is going crazy

You've probably heard about the transgender bathroom controversey, which shouldn't be a controversy and isn't a problem.
But to show how crazy things are getting a 22-year woman posted a blog about being told by another woman to get out of the bathroom at a Wal-Mart. The 22 year old was first puzzled but then realized that because she had cut her hair short to give hair to cancer victims and was wearing a baseball cap, the other woman apparently thought she was trans.

What does it say about America that there is such a strain of intolerance on some issues?

  1. I've been attempting to ignore all the craziness going on in this country these days. Hard task, but really, aren't there more important things to worry about than bathroom use? Ugh.

  5. Im glad im not living in America at this time. There is little exposure in (some parts of) Asia to "alternative" gender preferences and what not but i dont think even we would make assumptions based on looks. Its more likely someone would assume a bald person in a cap was dealing with an illness (like cancer) than go around accusing them of being transgender.

  6. This "controversy" over bathroom use is making me RAGE. We DO have more important things to worry about and all that this has done is increase violence and incidents against ALL kinds of people.

Women are harassed EVERYWHERE - not just bathrooms, so this guise of "protecting" us is complete crap.

I am sad to be an American some days.
