Getting Embarrassed

Tori, one of the members of our little community, recently blogged about an embarrassing moment when she found herself naked in front of her sons and friends after she threw off his dressing gown trying to get rid of a spider.

Here's the link:

Have any of you had any similar embarrassing moments you would like to share?

  1. Ah, yes...I had a huge beetle land on me when I was on the back porch of my old house. I could not get it off of me, so I took off my sweatshirt, threw it down, and ran into the house screaming. Never mind the fact that my (male) neighbor watched the entire episode from 10 feet away. I had no idea he was there, and found out later when we were over at their house for dinner. :-)

  2. Oh yes, one or two. The most recent - I was waiting on the train station platform - was walking up and down and turned a corner and there sat looking at me was a rat (I'm terrified of rats/mice)I screamed and frightened a few of my fellow passengers and a policeman came running up. I was so embarrassed to tell him it was at rat that had made me scream.

  4. The half drunk pool flashing of my Husbands work friends at the summer work get together(Which my Husband had to tuck me back in because clearly my inebriation affected my ability to notice said boob was out....)? No. Not horribly mortifying in the least (after I had sobered up and Husband relayed the story to me with a huge grin on his face...) Apparently his work buddies always ask when I am coming in to the lab to visit. How about never? *eye roll*(and yeah I am giggling. It IS funny.... Mortifying but funny.)

  5. I was morified when my dominant wife had a bunco party for 11 of her girlfriends and I had to serve them dressed in diapers and ruffled pink plastic panties!

  6. Yes, Once when a thousand legger fell from the ceiling onto me. I stripped in seconds. My adult daughter was the only one present. We laughed so hard I couldn't dress for quite a while. This story provides lots of laughter for many.
I also stood in front of a large picture window and whipped off my pants when feeling a beetle at the top of my leg. The door was wide open as well. (college days)

  8. I am sure I have but at the current moment I can't remember any. I guess I just don't embarrass that easily. I agree with Tori, I would love to hear yours FD.

  9. Thanks to all of you for sharing your stories and to you Tori for being a good sport about me mentioning yours.

And I guess it's only fair that I share an embarrassiing moment. When I was a teen, I had an upstairs bedroom which gave me privacy when my hormones were raging. One time I was so engrossed in what I was doing I didn't hear my mother come up the stairs. Talk about embarrassing. She said I had a "dreamy'' look on my face. LOL

  10. I had an embarrassing moment just today. After spending the morning in various sordid and depraved (LOL) activities, I went with Master to the dentist. He chatted with the receptionist, then told her to ask me what I'd been doing all morning. She did, in her chirpy voice. I was unable to come up with anything clever at all, but just looked down and blushed, and she laughed and said "Nevermind, I won't ask".
