Blogger Is Driving Me Crazy

What do you think of the new blogger page?

I think it is much worse than the one they had before. Why can't they leave well enough alone. First it was the two word verification that is so difficult to read. And now this.

Or is it just me?

I think it is much more difficult to navigate.

  2. Wow - it hasn't hit ours yet. Everything looks exactly the same. But I am nervous waiting for it to change as I've seen several other bloggers complain. Maybe enough people will protest and it will pass our blog by? lol :-)

    1. Let's hope you get bypassed. You have to figure out where everything is in the new format.

  3. What can I say. For a free service, I really can't complain too much. I'm still trying to find my way around but it isn't as bad as FB's latest changes. Yikes.

  5. We can complain plenty. Lots of issues... the biggest is how much harder it is to size a picture. That and they STILL haven't fixed the problem with link lists (which we still can't edit). Ugh!

  8. It hit mine on Friday! I can't decide if it's ok or not. I'm getting used to where things are on it now, but not sure I care for it. I like the old layout better. I haven't had any issues with making a post or inserting pics though. I like the setup of the most recent posts I'm following better on the old. Hmmm...I juts can't decide!

  9. I hate it too, but then I'm mostly against change on principal. I agree with Todd and Suzy moving and sizing pictures is bothering me the most.

  13. It says it's supposed to be more "streamlined" but it's actually much more complicated. I don't like it. I haven't tried to insert any pictures yet, so don't know about that problem, or editing link lists. I honestly think with things like this the problem is that they have a designated web designer whose entire job is to work on a new design, or there would be no reason for the job to exist. Every time Twitter changes it's worse too.

    1. Great point. These people have to justify their jobs by changing things. And just when we get used to this one, they will change it again. Maddening.

  14. I had the option to start with the new one when I started blogging 6 months ago, so it's been no change for me.

  18. I don't care for it either and I'm usually ok with change as far as web pages and such.
I'm having troubles with pictures and getting updates from the blog I read.

  19. Agreed. I hate when companies "fix" things that aren't broken. The other interface was perfectly logical and easy to navigate. This has those damn icons that every software vendor thinks they have to incorporate. No doubt start with frickin' Microsoft. Ughhh.

    1. Don't get me started on Microsoft. They prove why a monopoly is bad. They have a bad product but it doesn't matter because they dominate the market.

  20. As a side not to my previous comment...due to complaints from my followers on leaving comments and having to use the word verification, I disabled the verification and went to moderating all comments. The comments don't get posted near as quickly, since I have to approve them, but at least it saves headaches for my readers that want to comment. Just a thought and fyi for everyone else.

    1. I don't do verification or moderating and have had very few problems. Had to delete one Anon but other than that, it's been fine.

  22. I am more concerned with the new push by google to get rid of anonymity and enforce named email linked to phones. I suspect they are racing to be the first with a phone directory for email.
