Erotica

It looks like the success of "Fifty Shades'' has spawned more interest in erotic novels. The Anne Rice Sleeping Beauty trilogy, original written under a pseudonym, is being reissued with the tag line that if you liked Shades, you will love this one.

I haven't read Shades but read the Sleeping Beauty series years ago before I knew Anne Rice wrote it.

Anyway, I found this story about erotic writing, including one called "Carrie's Story,'' which is called an erotic S/M novel and the reviewer says it is even well written. Sounds like it might be worth checking out.

They didn't include Laura Reese's two novels, "Panic Snap'' and "Topping from Below'' that I recommend. But they do include Nancy Friday's Secret Garden which I also read years ago.

Here's the link if you want to check out any of the books.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/07/12/more-books-like-50-shades-of-grey-naughtiest-bits-from-12-other-erotica-bestsellers.html

Have you read any of these books?

And that reminds me I should do another chapter of my Lisa's Training stories. New readers can find them in the archives but I haven't written a new one in quite a while. Reminds me I need to get cracking on one.

War Sex

A female West Point graduate wrote an interesting article in the Washington Post in the aftermath of the Petraeus scandal about sex in the military. She also has a blog called War Virgin that you can click on to read about how her father told her she would lose her sparkle in her eye if she had sex. So she had orgasms dry humping her boyfriend.

Then she goes to West Point where sex isn't allowed in the barracks. And so she's still a virgin at 24 when she goes to Iraq.

"I had no idea that a combat zone with be such a sexually charged environment. Blame it on amped up testosterone pouring out of aggressive, athletic men. Or blame it on combat stripping even the strongest men and women down to their core, raw emotions. Combine this with forming special bonds with comrades who promise to do whatever it takes to ensure you safe return home, including sacrificing their lives for yours. What do you think happens?

"Let me tell you, covert combat sex (or in my case, hard-core making out, because I was too scared to go "All-in'') ranks high on the list of life's thrills. I'm a comfortable civilian now, and I know it's impossible to inject that intense passion back into my life. But I reflect on it every day. There's nothing that compares to making love at war.''

We often hear about sexual harassment in the military. But not so much about how exciting consensual sex can be in a combat zone.

Here's the link to the story and you can also click on to her blog. She also does a comedy show. I wonder if she will be on HBO soon.

Sex Survey

Can you believe the state of Florida sent out a sex survey to young women? And the state is run by Republicans, who supposedly believe in small, limited government except when it comes to the bedroom.

Here's a link to the story:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/25/florida-sex-survey-department-of-health-rick-scott_n_2186274.html

Sex surveys can actually give good insight when they are conducted by professionals like Kinsey but but don't think it is a role for the state.

Debate on Shades

The debate on "Fifty Shades of Grey'' continues. Here's an article and video says it revitalized a marriage and also caused a divorce. It says 40 million copies have been sold and a movie is in the works.

So what are your thoughts. Have you read it and do you give it thumbs up or down?

Giving Thanks

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and have a lot to be thankful for.

I am thankful that I met my good girl for the first time last weekend and I still can't describe how nice it was to cuddle with her, touch her, rub her, fondle her, suck her, lick her and, yes, spank her with my riding crop, put pins on her and tie her. And even shower with her. And so nice to have her touch and cuddle and rub and suck and lick me. We are both so lucky and thankful that we met each other.

The only downer about this Thanksgiving is that we are long distance again and only could spend time on the phone although we both were able to spend times with friends who invited us to their homes for good times and food.

But we still had fun on Thanksgiving night as I had her rub her boobs and put the Hitachi vibe on her clit and heard her say, "Please don't stop, sir.'' I love it when she wants more. And soon I heard those moans of pleasure and those lovely words, "I came for you, Sir.''

And then I thought we would cap the night by having her use her dildo. Alas, she couldn't find it. She apparently misplaced it when she unpacked her suitcase. We had a good laugh over that as I put her to bed. We even enjoy laughing together. But now she has a project over the long weekend. Find the dildo!!!  Have to unravel the Case of the Missing Dildo.

Yes, it was a memorable Thanksgiving even though we're in a LDR again.

First meeting

If you have been in a LDR, do you remember your first meeting?

My good girl and I had that first meeting last weekend and I must admit we were both a bit nervous and anxious about finally meeting in person. Would we click the same way we did texting and then on the phone? Well, it turned we had nothing to fear and it was wonderful. My good girl already posted a blog on it and you can read the link:

http://pouredoutlett.blogspot.com/

Yes, I did take what I wanted and I wanted a lot but she seemed happy to give it to me. When she asked, "Did I give you what you wanted?'' I couldn't have been happier. As I told her, she is S@S -- sexy and submissive.

And, yes, a riding crop is a very good spanking tool.  I've read blogs about women who don't feel they are getting enough spankings so I made sure she didn't have that feeling. Spanked her OTK, leaning over the bed and laying down on the bed at different times.  The crop is very effective and I would alternate with a few taps and then a hard swat that would have her legs dancing. And after a set of 20, I would rub her pussy to combine pain and pleasure. And after a few sets, her butt would be a nice rosy pink. A wonderful color. And gave her a boob spanking too. And we had some good bondage, too. And playing with her pussy was a treat, too, to get it so wet.

As she said, we're both cuddlers and that was nice to find out. I think we cuddled for hours exploring our bodies. I'm always ready for cuddling. In fact, I started with an hour of cuddling -- after presenting her with flowers -- and then we went out to lunch. And then we got down to play. By then her anxiety was gone and she was ready to serve me. I call her my good girl but she is also my dream girl.

And, yes, I've missed her too so much since I left. She said we're ruined. But I think the better word is spoiled. After being together and going to sleep in her arms and waking up in her arms, it is so difficult to saying good morning and good night to her on the phone. I miss that touch.

We will be counting the days until we meet again.

The latest Eve

By now, you've all read about Gen. Petraeus and his mistress but I wanted to link to one interesting column about how the woman gets blamed for seducing the great man. It's a theme that dates back to Eve and the apple. Interesting that whoever dreamed up the Adam and Eve story made the woman the seducer.

Granted, the woman in this story was so obsessed with the general that she sent out threatening emails to another woman. But the general didn't have to fall for her fawning attention.

Anyway, here's the link:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/13/opinion/bruni-the-siren-and-the-spook.html?hp

Since the majority of my readers tend to be women, I will be interested in hearing your take on this.

And speaking of Adam and Eve, it reminds me of the story of the kid who was supposed to draw a biblical story and had a person in a car driving with a couple in the back seat. The kid said it was God driving Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden.

Happy Love Our Lurkers Day

If you've been reading the blogs today, you probably already know this is Love Our Lurkers day that was started by Bonnie. It has encouraged many one time lurkers (including me) to join our little community. If you are a lurker, I want to welcome you and encourage you to sign up and comment. Bloggers always love feedback from our readers so don't be shy. We are very welcoming.

I was once a lurker who was encouraged by LOL day to start commenting and it literally changed my life. I made friends here and even persuaded by PK to start my own blog. I was kind of humoring PK because I wasn't sure my blog would attract a following and I want to thank all my readers, including the lurkers. And it also led to meeting my good girl, who is the light of my life.

So I hope some of you lurkers out there will sign up and comment even if it is just say hello. All of us bloggers love to hear from you and get feedback. And I welcome emails and always reply. Welcome!!!!!!!

"We're ready to be led''

I don't know if you aren't politics but did you see the statement GOP House Speaker said to President Obama:

He said, "We're ready to be led...we want you to lead.''

Sounds like he is submissive.

Warm Loving Parents

Here's an interesting article on a long term survey of men and the importance of having warm, loving parents in their lives. It makes you want to make sure you give your kids a hug every day and tell them you love them even if they are good at annoying you.

Casablanca

It's been 70 years since they filmed Casablanca and it remains on the short list of the greatest films of all time. If you haven't seen it, you should. To start with, the two leading characters, Bogey and Ingrid Bergman, are two of the best in Hollywood history. There's nobody in Hollywood today in their league. Bergman was beautiful and talented. And Bogey, was. well, Bogey.

And it was so well written. We remember the lines. "Here's looking at you kid,'' "I'm shocked, shocked,'' "We'll always have Paris,'' "Play it, Sam.'' He did not use the word again. And the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

The movie was so good that they've never done a sequel. There have been attempts but they've never gotten off the ground. How can you do another Mona Lisa? Now there's another attempt with a screenplay written by one of the original authors in which Bergman got pregnant the night she begged for the letters of transit and her son was born in America and raised by Victor and comes back to Casablanca.

By the way, I don't know if you knew that during the filming, they hadn't decided whether it would end with Bergman staying with Bogey. She kept asking them to make up their mind because she would play it a different way if she knew which man she would end up with. They had two endings and once they filmed the first one, they knew they had it and they never did the second one.

Anyway, here's a link to the story about the possibility of a sequel. I don't know how I feel about a sequel. It almost has to be a disappointment because it will be compared to the original.

Anyway, here's the link:

Dating and Happy

Here's a story that says older singles are happy with their dating lives than younger singles. Maybe it's because they are more mature and don't play games.

On the other hand, one of my tennis buddies in his 60s who is a widower says he has dated over 60 women and yet to find the right one for a relationship. So you never know.

Here's the link: Will be curious to hear your thoughts.

Tax Cuts for the Rich

We interrupt our regularly scheduled programming for an interesting tidbit on the effect of tax cuts for the rich.

As you may know, the GOP has consistently favored tax cuts for the wealthy, saying it helps economic growth and creates jobs. Obama wants to restore the rates on those making over $250,000 to what they were in the Bill Clinton era, a modest rise of 3 to 4 per cent.

Anyway, the Congressional Research Service conducted a study on tax cuts for the wealthy and found, not surprisingly, that the effect is more money for the wealthy. They don't help economic growth and create jobs. Tax cuts for middle class help the economy more because those people tend to go out and spend money.

Well, the GOP didn't like this report and asked them to withdraw it but the N.Y. Times published it this week. Here's the link:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/01/congressional-research-service_n_2059156.html

That's why Tuesday's election is going to be important for the kind of country we have. The GOP has been very effective is convincing half the country that tax cuts for the top one per cent is good for the country. We will see if the voters give a mandate to that idea by electing Romney.

Unfortunately, in this country, your vote only makes a difference if you live in a swing state like Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, Florida, New Hampshire and Virginia.

The person who gets the most votes doesn't get to be president as Al Gore found out in 2000. It all depends on which candidates wins which states and in about 40 of them, one party or the other is certain to win.

We find out a lot of answers Tuesday or Wednesday morning unless there is a recount.
