Happy New Year

I want to wish all my blogger friends a Happy New Year and hope that the next year is a good one for you and that you are loved and have someone to love.

Starting this blog was one of the highlights of the past year for me. I started it at urging of the lovely PK as a place to post my Training Lisa stories. And yes, one of my New Year's resolutions is to add chapters.

What I didn't realize is that I would make a connection with so many other bloggers and that you would find my topics interesting and worth commenting on. And that so many of you seem to welcome my comments on your sites. This is a warm, welcoming community. I want to thank you all for dropping by and to ask the lurkers out there not to be shy and to add their thoughts.

And so my last question of the year is how do you like to spend New Year's Eve? Do you go to a party, out to dinner, spend it at home and watch the ball come down or just go to bed at your usual time so you're sleeping when the new year rolls in. And do you make New Year's Resolutions?

My answer is we have gone to parties in the past but we also enjoy just relaxing after Christmas and are content to watch the ball go down at midnight. And to think about past New Year's Eves and realize how some dreams were meant and some wern't. It's a good time to reflect.

Again, Happy New Year.

FD

  3. Happy New Year! For us, we go buy fireworks and hang outside with the neighbors, eating 'finger foods' and lighting fireworks (and maybe have a drink or two).

  6. First, Happy New Year FD Sir. Master and I were supposed to go out for NYE this year but we both came (he gave it to me) really bad colds and decided to pass on it.

So, I guess we'll be making snacks and cuddled on the sofa watching the ball drop somewhere else. Followed by telling the dog to "shut up," when the fireworks start.

  7. I'm glad that I found your blog. The questions you pose are very interesting, and it's great to read the variety of responses each one garners. I appreciate the comments that you leave on my blog as well. A lot of the advice that you've given me has helped me more than you probably know, so thank you. :)

As for New Years, I'm celebrating at a house party with friends where the plan is to eat, drink (and drink...and drink...) and be merry.

    Happy New Year!

  8. FD, I'm in the public pretty often and I don't mind working a crowd. But I hate parties. If I have time off, I want to be alone with the family.

  9. HI FD you're right we have a warm welcoming community here and I'm so happy as you, to be a part of it. Greg and I go to a neighborhood party. He does dinner tonight and tomorrow and the kids come with friends. It should be many laughs and I'm always up for that! Take good care of yourself and enjoy reflection. Hugs, KayLynn

  11. FD,

We stay home and put the kids to bed at a reasonable time. We just hang out together and watch the ball drop from home.
    Happy New Year!

  12. FD,
I have loved getting to know you this year through email and through your blog. I love your questions and I have seen that you draw many people to you. I think this is a great way to make friends.

As for New Years I like staying home. Nick, Mollie and I toast the New Year and eat horsd'oerves - usually just junk food that Mollie and I concoct! I hope you have a great evening!

    Hugs,
    PK

  15. Goodness, me. I blink and you go from no new entries to two! How dis happen???

I'm a mellow-party kind of gal. I don't drink, so the wilder events are sort of wasted on me. (pun accidental) But my friends all go to bed lots earlier than I do, so I toddle home by ten to watch a cozy movie and hope to catch BG online for a midnight cyber-kiss. (Worked last night, anyhow!)
