Making Memories

I'm spending another wonderful weekend with my good girl as we continue to make sweet memories.

When I arrived Friday, she said she had a surprise. She had baked a chocolate pie. She knew that's one of my favorites but she was intimidated to try it befoe because she felt it wouldn't be as good as my mother's. Of course, it was delicious. She's a wonderful cook and loves to make my favorite dishes.

On Saturday, we had a day to remember. I don't think we got out of bed until after noon. It was too late for breakfast so she made a wonderful lunch featuring shrimp. Around 2:30, we decided it was a good time for a nap, slept a couple of hours and had some nice play time and finally got dressed to go out for dinner at 8. We came home and watched some episodes of Downton Abbey. It's a period piece set in England before and during WWI. Captures the upper crust English life of those days. We were so slept out that we stayed up until about 1:30 a.m.

Sunday, we went for the beach even though it was too windy for perfect beach weather. But she again collected a seashell. She likes to save a seashell for each time we walk on the beach.

And, I should mention one of the new toys I brought with me -- a vibrating egg. Have any of you ever tried it? What surprised me is that after I slipped it in and turned it on, I didn't hear anything and thought it wasn't working even though I put in new batteries. I kept clicking it off and on and she said, "It's working.'' Being inside her muffled all the noise but she said she liked the sensation. The combination of the egg and the vibe on her clit produced such a delcious reaction. And, of course, I found time for some good spankings. She loves being a submissive.

The only bad thing is that I have to leave on Monday. The time just seems to fly by. But we are left with such warm, sweet memories to cherish.

Is this for real?

Here's a clip about a woman who put up a billboard message calling out her cheating husband. some think it is really a clever ad for the camera. Check it out.

Men, women and sex

You've heard the cliches about how men and women view sex differently, the old Mars-Venus thing. How women want sex for love and men want it for sex or physical gratification. Well, here's a story about a study saying the two sexes are closer than you think. They both want sex for three main reasons -- love, commitment and physical gratification.

I would be interested in your thoughts.

Can you believe this?

What are the odds that two kids who didn't know each other would visit Disney World on the same day and be in the same photograph and then would meet 15 years later and finally marry? What are the odds of that happening?

Problems with waxing, shaving

Here's an article saying that waxing and shaving could lead to some problems although there hasn't been much research on the topic. Here's the link:

Having kids

Here's story about a woman with two kids who wants more. He doesn't. Not an easy thing to deal with. Don't know if any of you have ever faced this dilemma.

Reminds me of a woman my sister knows he married a guy who said he didn't want kids. She said the birth control was up to him. And he used a condom every single time.

Life isn't always easy. Here's the link:

Happy families

Here's an interesting article about what makes a happy family. One answer is that the kids are taught the historg of their family. I will be interested in your thoughts. Do you feel you grew up in a happy family?

Masochist

New York magazine had a roundtable discussion of some of the early writers and editors of Ms magazine.

This exchange caught my eye. One woman said, "I threatened to leave over a manuscript by a woman who was a former editor of ours who was writing about why she was a masochist and trying to make it an okay choice. I would rather leave than work for a magazine that published that. And we didn't publish it.''

Another woman said, "Alice Walker wsa very much for publishing it. I remember she quoted Tennessee Williams in her editorial comment on the story: "Nothing human disgusts me.''

I thought it was interesting how times change. Back then Ms wouldn't publish an article about being a masochist -- although I think they did publish a letter from a woman saying she likes to be spanked -- and now Fifth Shades is mainstream.

By the way, did any of you read or like Ms back in the day?

Transgender kids

Here's a fascinating story about a six-year-old in a male body knowing that she is really a girl. And she is one of triplets. Interesting how these things happen in nature.

The thrust of the story is that the school won't let her use the girl's bathroom. But what I find interesting is that at six, she knows she is in the wrong body. In the last line of the story, she says they're being mean to her because they say she's a boy and she is a girl. She knows that at such a young age. Here's the link:

Locked in her closet

Yes, my good girl was locked in her closet this morning. But there was nothing kinky about that.

In our LDR, we have various rituals and one of them is that she calls me every morning. It has become such a ritual that she will call me at 6:15 a.m. her time Saturday morning before I go play tennis. And then I put her back to bed after we chat and before I leave so she can sleep in. I have suggested she sleep in and skip the call but she wants to call.

Well, she had guests overnight but she still wanted to call and didn't want to explain why she would be placing a call that early in the morning. So she locked herself in her closet and called me and whispered as we had a short chat. I have to admit I had to smile at that image. And last night when she called to be put to bed, she was in bed and again whispering.

I guess our rituals have taken on more significance than we expected when we started them almost 23 months ago back when we were only texting and before we started talking on the phone.

Being appreciated

Here's an interesting story about how many 40ish women want a divorce not because their husbands are abusive or cheating or alcoholics. The problem is that they don't make their wives feel appreciated. A lot of food for thought. Here's the link:

Going Maintstream

How mainstream is "Fifty Shades of Grey'' getting?

Well, here's a snippet from the speech by Minnesota senator Amy Klobuchar at the Gridiron dinner Saturday night, which is a sort of a roast.

She said, "The President is here. You are looking good, Mr. President. We all know that the President has aged a little bit in the White House. His secret service code name used to be Renegade. Now it's 'Fifty Shades of Grey.' ''

I think that is a sign of how much the books have entered the popular culture.

Spanking and Exercise

I was working out the other day after playing tennis and watched a trainer doing a session with a young woman. As he directed her and told her to do one more of one exercise, I was thinking she looks very submissive.

And then he had her on his hands and knees doing pushups. With her butt in the air, I was thinking that it it would be fun to have my good girl do pushups for me as I alternated them with blows from my riding crop.

How convenient that my next trip there will be two weekends from now. I can't stop thinking about the combination of spanking and exercise.  Hmmm, sounds like fun.

Becoming a grandfather -- again

Good news. I just learned I will become a grandfather for the third time. For those of you who are grandparents, you understand that grandkids are the reward for raising your kids. You get to enjoy them without the hassle of raising them. Although you have to bite your tongue at time when you don't like their parenting style.

Anyway, my older daughter has two aged almost 10 and 11 and my younger daughter is due for her first in August. She's 38 and just got married a year ago New Year's Eve so at her age, we didn't know if she would be blessed with one.

Anyway, as the first two are starting to grow out of the Santa Claus stage, we get to enjoy that cycle again.

Now we just hope and pray that everything goes well and the baby is healthy.
