The Wedding

So what are your thoughts about the wedding? And I don't have to say which wedding. I thought the attention paid to it was a bit much -- especially in the U.S. -- but a lot of people watched. And what do our friends across the pond think. I hear there is an anti-royal faction, especially in the north, that isn't enthralled with the royals.

For their sake, I hope their marriage is better than some of the recent royal marriages.

Your thoughts.

  3. I didn't watch it. I didn't really care to. I'm sure it was beautiful and elegant, but I don't live in England. I suppose I also somewhat feel that a wedding is meant to be an intimate affair between family and friends, not the whole world! I feel for Kate and the pressure she must have felt.

  4. I wondered what sort of 'private' life they pursued..;-). Is that wrong? Haha!

  6. Abby is right there was far too much hype. I hope now the journalist just leave them alone to get on with their life. William wants to start off quietly with Kate (like his Grandmother, Queeenie) and not take on royal engagements straight away not like his mother when she was thrown in straight away but I wont go into that.

  7. I liked Kate's dress, but I thought she should have had the "obey" word in the vows, lol!

  8. Kitty,

I got the feeling that Kate is the one who will be in charge. Given that Will has lived in a matriarchal family I am sure it would have felt more normal for him if he had said the Obey word.

  9. Hmmm, I don't know about that. I could never want a man that would let me boss him around...yuck!

  10. I was on a flight to San Diego, so I missed most of the coverage that day and was too busy later to watch any of it.

  11. I always wonder if she ever had moments where she was like, "Oh shit...I'm really marrying a prince and becoming a princess. For real. Not just a fairytale. My mother-in-law is a queen. People will seriously address me as Her Royal Highness. Whoa...." I would have had a lot of those mind-boggling moments.
