Being appreciated

Here's an interesting story about how many 40ish women want a divorce not because their husbands are abusive or cheating or alcoholics. The problem is that they don't make their wives feel appreciated. A lot of food for thought. Here's the link:

  2. I think it happens a lot.. men are often complacent and women .. need more affirmation and connection for the drudgery that so many daily tasks seem to be.
It does seem trying to talk about it is a better way to go than straight to the divorce lawyer.. marriage is not easy but usually worth making some effort!

    1. Yes, it is worth making some -- maybe a lot of -- effort.

  3. I agree that it does go both ways and would be willing to bet that those women probably didn't show appreciation to their husbands. I believe that men need to know they are appreciated as much, if not more, than women do.

    1. Good point that men also need to know they are appreciated. We all do.
