The C Word

I found this video on the origin of the word cunt on Aisha's blog. I found it quite interesting.

Here's the link:

And what are your thoughts on the word?

  1. I know some people find it really offensive, but I very first heard the word in a sexual context, not a random insult (like bitch), and so I've always found it hot. It's a little demeaning, but only in the hot way.

  2. Amber: I think it is all about the context in which it is used. Like the word whore, it can be used in a hot way.

  3. It's not a word I use at all. But, my Master uses it sometimes. I agree FD, it is all about the context in which it is used. It can be VERY HOT!!

  4. Not my favorite, its a word meant to get a reaction. Rob really doesn't curse, that word would never leave his mouth. In conversation it's not one I use to describe someone I don't like. I feel like it almost is like stooping to a lower level to insult someone with that word. My mom used to call women she had issues with CRUNTS. Her own made up little term

Crunt (adj)-for girls who simply don't deserve the very best.
She has a lot of good one liners-that one still makes me laugh.

  5. Sky: Yes, I agree it can be very hot.

Not the Petries: I would not use that word in conversation but during a sexual scene with a sub, like the word whore, it can be hot.

  7. agree with you FD and the others definitely the context in which it is used it can be sensuous and sexual. But hate it if it is used randomly and in a nasty context.

Thanks for the link ~ I thought the video gave it a whole new context - glad you liked it!

  9. I find the word very crude, but I don't get all discombobulated at its mention. However, if it's used in a sexual context, I find it an extreme turn-off!

  10. I prefer it to pussy. Because of the word cunnilingus, it's clearly an actual word for the vagina. Pussy just sounds silly to me. No idea why anyone thought it was a good word for it. For me it just doesn't fit at all, and seems to have no relevant meaning as far as I can tell. I hear it and I just think of cats.

  11. I have never understood the appeal of this word. As far as I am concerned, it's as bad as the "F" bomb.

  12. I'd be insulted if I was called that, but that's just me. I've always thought it has a negative connotation. I much prefer to use the term pussy, lol! I think it really boils down to what people are comfortable with. I agree with Farmer's Wife...it has no appeal for me.

Daddy would never call me that as a term of endearment, that's for sure;)!

  13. Unfortunately hearing the C-word issuing from angry male teenage mouths it is very hard to like.

I use pussy for the whole vulval area and respond to cunt only in terms of my vagina. I don't like it as a word but then it has always been a vulgar adjective during my life time.
