My God that is horrible. I read that article and feel sickened by it. That level of abuse is so wrong. I had no idea this was even an issue. Safe, sane and consensual. It amazes me how an outsider can look at the D/s community and think it's abuse and this can go on in our country. I thought the article was going to be about a third world issue. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

ReplyDeleteAbuse wears many masks, sometimes it even comes with shiny smiles. I respect that wanting a family is extremely important to some men and women which is why I was always upfront when dating and explained that I simply can not have children. Perhaps my upfront honesty "saved" me from said experience.
Abuse of any nature saddens me. This form however, disturbs me on a completely different level.
I believe women who use pregnancy to "keep" a man is abusive just as I believe forcing a woman to get pregnant is abuse. A terrible, soul raping abuse.

Oh wow. I had never thought about that. After several miscarriages, Dragon wanted to stop trying. Every loss hurt so much. He didn't want children at such a high cost. I can't imagine being forced to get pregnant.
