Marrying a first cousin

Here'a story about a guy whose wife died and he married a first cousin. This is apparently illegal in a lot of states and his kids were upset. What do you think?

  1. Actually that was cute. Who cares if they get married, they look like they are past having kids so even that isn't a factor. Good for them.

  2. Can't see anything to get upset about. Going through my family tree I see a few examples of marrying a first cousin, centuries ago. But Americans are so touchy about anything sexual!

  3. There's nothing wrong with it at all. What others do is none of my concern, so long as its not hurting anything, or anyone.

They have even done studies recently that show the very low probability of birth defects with babies born to a couple who are very closely related ( even fathers and daughters).

Frankly I don't care if someone wants to marry a goat.

  4. It's up to them what they do. A lot of cousins marry. Our Queen and her husband, The Duke of Edinburgh are cousins of sorts.
